Ana Kristina Gasteyer (born January 1st 1970) is an American actress, a singer and comic. Her most well-known work is her role as a part of the NBC sketch comedy series Saturday Night Live from 1996 until 2002. She has since starred such sitcoms like ABC's Suburgatory TBS People of Earth NBC American Auto and Mean Girls. Gasteyer began her career as a vocal study studying at Northwestern University, and later changed her focus to studying theater when she joined the campus improv team. She carried that same spirit into her roles as Sheila Shay, the overly-controlling character on Suburgatory or Karen Grisham the agent on Lady Dynamite.
